Iblawg Undergoes Internship

Posted by iblawg on October 31, 2006

Second day of training was somewhat more relaxed. I mean come on, I dressed up formal on the first day ok! Then of course we were later told that formal wear wasn’t really necessary. Actually, I kinda knew that but, you know, it was after all the *first* day ma. Also, I tried a different route this morning to see if it was any quicker. Turned out to be a bad idea. I arrived on-the-dot. According to my watch, anyway.

I enjoyed listening to the radio though. Wacky as hell, those announcers. Thank god for these stations otherwise I’d have dozed off in the car. I was told that the City Council (Dewan Bandaraya Petaling Jaya now, no longer Majlis Perbandaran…, yea) was gonna start collecting parking fees next month. That’s tomorrow, by the way. My third day of work. I’ve done the math – A month’s parking would eat up to about one-third of my training allowance. *Wipes sweat*

Ferrite Core

Posted by iblawg on September 3, 2006

Ferrite Core

After more than 22 years as an earthling, yours truly finally knows what this little ‘bump’ is. Ferrite cores are used to suppress EMI and really, I never knew nor questioned their existence until recently. I’ve seen them on many cables and I hate to believe that I do not have an inquisitive mind. Brrr.

Iblawg Checks the Exam Schedules

Posted by iblawg on August 28, 2006

Right. I have two papers in one day. But that’s fine. By the way, noticed any mistake(s) in the snapshot above? You understand the message, yes. But this is supposed to be among the ‘best’ universities in the country.

Iblawg Returns Home Happy

Posted by iblawg on July 24, 2006

Just as I was complaining about the mysterious fees that I’ll have to pay to the university, today I collected RM*censored* instead. I did not expect my short stint as an Orientation Week facilitator would earn me cash allowances.

Suddenly RM*censored* dropped from the sky! *Grins*

P/s: Btw, bumped into Hui and Steph briefly today, which was nice…

P/s(2): Bumped into Liwei today as well, but not as nice cuz she loves to pinch me nowadays… sometimes quite pain also, knowing that I don’t have much insulating layer…

P/s(3): I need to write a text about the Megasales and shopping, or anything along those lines. I need points, could be on anything – Contribute ideas, can?

Insurance? What Insurance?

Posted by iblawg on July 23, 2006

I hate the fact that my university charges RM45 for ‘insurance’. I am a final year student and this had never happened before. This semester is the first time such a fee is imposed. The university did not ask or consult me about this. In other words, the payment, I was told, was compulsory. I have my own insurance coverage since I was a kid. Time for some questions.

Park Properly Can?

Posted by iblawg on July 4, 2006

It wasn’t a very big car.

So much space around it…

…along such a narrow road!

Tau Ordered to Close

Posted by iblawg on July 4, 2006

“…atas alasan ianya tidak bersih dan tidak disucikan sehingga mungkin mendatangkan bahaya kepada kesihatan orang ramai.”

Disucikan? In English, it literally means ‘purified’. I wonder how ‘pure’ are other outlets.

Iblawg at the Robocon 2006

Posted by iblawg on June 16, 2006

After about 2 months of hard work, the day finally came. We required at least 2 cars to transport our equipments, robot, tools and other belongings from Cyberjaya to PWTC.

Malaysia as a Developing Country

Posted by iblawg on May 19, 2006

I stumbled upon something interesting in the textbook. (OMG since when the EHM textbook had anything interesting in it?)

Plus points for Malaysia as a developing country, among others, include:
1. Rich in local natural resources.
2. Skilled local labor.
3. Good infrastructure.
4. Strategic location.

and then came this…
5. Politically stable. But we are not obedient internationally, so we are not in anyone’s good books.

*Chokes..*

Anyways, I still hate this subject. Iblawg strongly condemns anything which requires a whole shitload of memorization crap, especially when it involves words rather than numbers.

With reference to this post, I captured a pic in campus earlier today.

Ho-humm… Not so bright innit?
