Iblawg Runs in the PJ Half Marathon 2006

Posted by iblawg on June 18, 2006

I’m supposed to be bathing right now. But let’s talk about the 10km run that I did. It was…

SATISFYING!!

Very, very fun! I was abit lost in the morning when I arrived at about 6am, cuz there were so many people! I had to asked one of the participants for directions to the registration booths. I had never joined a race with this many participants…

No pictures. Didn’t bring along my phone or camera for obvious reasons. Running along the Federal Highway at about 6:45am in the morning was really cool, so was along the LDP, where we kinda caused a traffic crawl around the area.

I think I ran my best, because I pushed as much as I could and didn’t walk nor slow down – yet didn’t qualify for the top 100 place. LOL. But it was not an issue. Didn’t expect to finish in the top 100 anyways. Passed Steph’s dad somewhere near Nanyang Siang Pau, and I must say that he could really run for someone his age!!

Each time I complete a run, with this morning’s PJ Half included, I’m grateful that I manage to finish the race without any injury. Sporting injuries can be really nasty – so always stretch well before you run!

Very interesting participants we saw, too. Haha. Definitely joining again, next year.

OOT: I’m looking for a partner for my FYP. Anyone interested to do Dr. Sim Moh Lim’s FYP Title 1155: WiFi Propagation Pathloss Study?

  7. [...] In any case, it was fun and satisfying. Like the PJ Half I did, I didn’t suffer from any major injuries other than the blister. (Come to think of it, this blister alone was damn distracting and could have ruined the whole race). No pictures at the race – duh. But I have a picture of my foot, taken after bath just now. [...]
