KL International Motor Show 2006
Posted by iblawg on June 16, 2006
To begin with, I find the KL Motor Show a little disappointing. Then again, it depends on one’s expectations. And no I’m not talking about the chicks, I’m talking about the cars, damn it.

The next photo is not for the faint-hearted. It’s a fashion disaster:

I shall, from now on, show you only images that are worthy of my blog space. Before I do that, let me remind you that today is Friday. It is the day the Proton Satria Replacement Model is launched. I had hoped to see the SRM at KLIMS. Here’s another long-anticipated car which was recently launched in Malaysia:

The Yaris. Hell pricey. I love the Focus.

The model standing next to the car helps enhance the pic, aye? Then of course there was the Naza Bestari 206.

This is the Sports Concept version, which I thought was really nice. Perodua also souped up their Myvi.

And my favorite car at the Show… the Nismo-modded Nissan 350Z.

Nismo exhaust kit alone about RM10k.

Moving on now to some super-sized rubbers:

Super-low-profile rubber for Hummers. Crazy!

I floored the accelerator pedal of this AMG CLS55, man.

Wing-doors are cool on the SLR McLaren, but not on a Hyundai. I’ve been seeing the advertisement in newspapers lately.

The Civic’s front-end styling is so sexy.

Asimo was fascinating. If only someone with a deeper voice had voiced-over for Asimo… . Anyway, it was amazing to watch Asimo walking up and down the stairs, and balancing itself on the tilted platform. On to the Naza area now… We were greeted by a peculiar sight.

It wouldn’t be so odd if there were only the Enzo. But here you can see that the model is trying abit too hard to pose ’sensually’ with the car. She failed miserably.

The Gallardo looks really good in flesh. Compact and furious-looking! I’d be so disappointed if there were no M5 to be seen. Luckily there was one.

And the colossal Hamann F430…

We walked three rounds in this hall. Simply couldn’t get enough of the cars. M6 was there too, but since I’m not so interested in the M6, it doesn’t appear here in this post
. Outside the PWTC, there were more nice rides.

Of course, these are private vehicles so I’ve covered the reg number.

That’s all folks.
