Malaysia as a Developing Country
Posted by iblawg on May 19, 2006
I stumbled upon something interesting in the textbook. (OMG since when the EHM textbook had anything interesting in it?)
Plus points for Malaysia as a developing country, among others, include:
1. Rich in local natural resources.
2. Skilled local labor.
3. Good infrastructure.
4. Strategic location.
and then came this…
5. Politically stable. But we are not obedient internationally, so we are not in anyone’s good books.
*Chokes..*
Anyways, I still hate this subject. Iblawg strongly condemns anything which requires a whole shitload of memorization crap, especially when it involves words rather than numbers.

The Repetitive The
Posted by iblawg on May 18, 2006
No wonder I had “the…”, “the…”, “the…” ringing in my head even after I’ve left the page.

Certainly not the kind of thing you’d expect from a writer at The Star.

Interview
Posted by iblawg on May 16, 2006
How does “declining a studio interview because I have an exam the next morning” sound to you? Yep, the guys from 8TV want us in their studios for a recorded interview (read: shown on TV, nation-wide!). It will be part of the 8TV Quickie programme.
Six members from our team; one has gone to the US for a holiday, another one has gone back to Sarawak, leaving four in Klang Valley – including myself. And I won’t be going either, so there’re only three who’ll be able to make it.
Nevertheless, we’ll all be on TV this Saturday night, 20th May. Tune in to 8TV at 10:30pm to catch all the actions of the Spirit of KL. It will be an hour-long programme.

“Last but not least”
Posted by iblawg on May 12, 2006
And last, but not least, … yadda yadda yadda.
That phrase is so overused that I get sick of it now.

“I’m Sorry”
Posted by iblawg on May 12, 2006
There is really no point in saying “I’m sorry”, if you do not actually know what you are sorry for.
Think about that.

Choices
Posted by iblawg on May 9, 2006
We actually won. The feeling hadn’t really sunk in until just today. To prove this, consider the question “What’ll you do with the prize money?”. I was still in a daze when people asked me this, repeatedly on that day. All I could answer was, “I don’t know, probably keep it?”. Today suddenly a list of things came to my mind.
Remember my desire for an iPod nano? I can easily get one, and I’ll still be left with loose change.
Then there’s the guitar. I’ve been thinking of getting a new acoustic guitar since very, very long ago. At one point in time, I’d even put off the idea of getting one because I couldn’t afford it. Now that I have the cash, should I throw everything in exchange for a brand new acoustic guitar?
I’ll probably just forget about the portable mp3 player. It’s not practical, at least for me. The guitar is still okay. Oh boy… choices choices choices.
Then again, I don’t really need to spend that money. I could keep it and use only when necessary (read: pocket money!).
Investing in a new phone is out of question. In fact, I won’t be using the free Nokia 6270 handset. I love my SE K700i too much, lol. That Nokia’s perfect for Mother’s Day gift, no? To add, Mom’s phone is the ‘least technofied’ compared to everyone else’s in the house. Hah.
All the best in your exams, MMUians.
